Local Pool Equipment Repair

Denton Neighborhoods We Serve

We've been repairing pool equipment across Denton for over two decades. Denton has nearly tripled in population since 2000 — from about 80,000 to over 160,000 — and the city is a mix of everything from 1960s ranch homes near the universities to brand-new master-planned communities on the outskirts. That means pool equipment across town ranges from decades-old legacy systems to builder-grade installs that are already showing problems. We know what's on these equipment pads because we've been working on them for years.

Southridge & South Denton

Neighborhoods: Southridge · Wheeler Ridge · South Lakes · Teasley Place · Wind River Estates · Sundown Ranch · Summit Oaks

Southridge is one of Denton's most established family neighborhoods — a sprawling area south of downtown with homes ranging from 1970s ranch-style to modern custom builds on winding, tree-lined streets. Pools here are anywhere from 15 to 50 years old, and the equipment reflects that range. We regularly replace original single-speed Hayward and Sta-Rite pumps, swap out failing Raypak and Teledyne Laars heaters, and upgrade old timeclock-and-relay setups to modern automation. Wheeler Ridge and the surrounding subdivisions from the 1990s–2000s are now hitting first or second major equipment cycles — variable-speed pump conversions and salt system replacements are the most common calls.

Idiot's Hill & Central Denton

Neighborhoods: Idiot's Hill (Crestwood Heights) · Denia · Downtown Denton · Bell Avenue Historic · Oak-Hickory Historic District · McKamy Evers

Idiot's Hill is one of Denton's most sought-after neighborhoods — rolling hills, heavy tree canopy, and eclectic homes just north of UNT. Pools here were often added well after the homes were built, so you'll find modern equipment on older shells with plumbing that doesn't always cooperate. Denia has a mix of homes built between the 1960s and 1980s alongside brand-new construction, which means we see everything from legacy Purex and Sta-Rite equipment to current-generation Pentair systems on the same street. The historic neighborhoods near the square have some of the oldest pools in Denton — small gunite builds behind Craftsman and Victorian homes that have been through multiple equipment overhauls over the decades.

Forrestridge & Country Club Area

Neighborhoods: Forrestridge · Country Club Village · Country Club Road Estates · Country Club Terrace · Oakmont · Greens of Oakmont · Montecito

Forrestridge dates back to 1978 and has continued developing over the years — it's Denton's go-to for larger custom homes on generous lots near Denton Country Club. Pools in the older sections are 35 to 45 years old and have been through at least two full equipment replacement cycles. We commonly work on systems where the heater, pump, and filter were all replaced at different times by different companies, and nothing quite talks to each other. Country Club Village and the surrounding subdivisions have pools from the 1980s and 1990s with equipment that's at or past end of life — failing gas heaters, corroded filter tanks, and single-speed pumps that cost more to run than to replace.

Robson Ranch

Neighborhoods: Robson Ranch

Robson Ranch is Denton's premier 55+ active adult community — a gated master-planned development that's been building since 2002 with its own golf course, pools, and resort-style amenities. Individual homes have pools ranging from brand new to 20+ years old, and the equipment is predominantly current-generation Pentair and Jandy. The most common calls we get are for salt cell replacements, heater ignition issues, and automation programming. Because Robson Ranch homeowners tend to use their pools year-round, we also see more heater wear than in typical Denton neighborhoods. Equipment here is generally well-maintained but hits replacement milestones faster due to heavy use.

Rayzor Ranch & North Denton

Neighborhoods: Rayzor Ranch · North Lake Park · Harvest Hill · Eagle Cove · Cambridge Square · Cooper Crossing · Beverly Park Estates

Rayzor Ranch sits near the I-35 and University Drive intersection — the older southern portion has ranch-style homes from the 1940s–1960s with pools that were often added decades after construction, while newer builds on the north end feature modern finishes and current equipment. North Denton has seen significant development since the 2010s, with newer subdivisions like Harvest Hill and Eagle Cove featuring builder-grade Pentair and Hayward systems. The most common issues we handle in these newer communities are undersized equipment from day one, salt chlorinator troubleshooting, and heater startup problems on pools that were recently finished. We also see a lot of homeowners here looking to upgrade from basic builder packages to full automation and heating.

Lantana, Savannah & South Denton County

Neighborhoods: Lantana · Savannah · Lakeview Ranch · Canyon Falls · Hills of Argyle · Copper Canyon · Hickory Creek

The communities south of Denton toward Flower Mound and Argyle represent some of the newest and highest-end pool construction in the area. Lantana is a master-planned community that started in the early 2000s with resort-style amenities and homes on rolling hills — pools here are 10 to 20 years old and now hitting their first major equipment cycle. Savannah and Canyon Falls are even newer, with most pools under 10 years old running current-generation equipment. The most common calls are for builder-grade warranty issues, salt system failures, and automation upgrades. Copper Canyon and Hills of Argyle feature custom homes on acreage with larger pools, dedicated spas, and complex multi-circuit equipment pads that require experienced diagnostics.

Recent Work

Recent Pool Repairs in Denton

Heater Repair

Diagnosed a bad ignition control module — not the gas valve, which is what another company had quoted to replace. Saved the homeowner over $800 by fixing the actual problem instead of replacing parts that weren’t broken.

Leak Detection

Diagnosed a pool that was slowly leaking and losing water throughout the day. We determined there was a broken underground pipe that needed to be repaired. Dug up the ground around the plumbing and was able to get it repaired to stop the leak.
