Clogged Skimmer Cleared - Plantation Springs
A skimmer that stops pulling water usually shows up as weak flow at the surface, leaves sitting on top that never get pulled in, or a cleaner that slows right down. That is what was happening on this Plantation Springs pool. The skimmer throat was packed tight, so almost nothing was reaching the pump. We cleared it out, made sure the line ran free the whole way back to the equipment pad, and got proper suction back at the surface. Blocked lines are a common pool plumbing repair.
Filter and Backwash Valve Repair - Lakehill
Backwash valves take a lot of abuse. Every time you send water a different direction, that valve does the work, and once the internals wear you start losing water out the waste line or pushing it somewhere it should not go. This Lakehill pool runs a Pentair FNS Plus filter on a pad that has clearly been added to over the years. We sorted out the filter and replaced the backwash valve so the system holds pressure again and water goes where it is meant to. The valve and the tank get looked at together on any pool filter repair.
Pool Filter Clean - Starwood
When the pressure gauge keeps climbing and the water still looks dull, the filter is usually the reason. We pulled the grid assembly on this Starwood pool and the pleats were caked front to back, with one grid starting to come apart at the seam. A real filter clean means lifting the whole assembly out, washing every grid down properly, and checking the fabric for tears while it is apart, because a split grid just sends the dirt straight back into your pool. Checking the grids while the tank is open is what separates a clean from a pool filter repair later.
Backwash Valve Repair - Shaddock Creek Estates
On this Shaddock Creek Estates pool we replaced the worn standpipe O-ring so the filter valve seals properly during backwash cycles. If water keeps trickling out of your backwash line when the filter is set to filter, or the filter never seems to get fully clean after a backwash, something inside is not sealing. The culprit is often a small rubber part, like a valve gasket or the O-ring on the filter standpipe, that has flattened or cracked and lets water bypass where it should not. A worn seal is a quick fix compared to replacing the filter or the valve. More on our pool filter repair service.
LED Pool Light Replacement - Hollyhock
On this Hollyhock pool we replaced the micro LED color light, so the pool is ready to show its color again at night. A pool light that stops changing colors, flickers, or will not come on at all is usually a failed fixture rather than a wiring problem. Before replacing it, it helps to confirm the light is getting power and that the breaker or GFCI is not the real issue. When the fixture is the problem, a newer LED color light uses far less power than an old incandescent bulb, and because the light is pulled up to the deck on its cord, the pool normally does not need to be drained.
