Sweep Pump Repair - River Bend
The sweep pump is the separate little pump that drives your pool cleaner, and it is easy to ignore because the pool still filters without it. What you notice first is the cleaner slowing down or parking itself in a corner. On this River Bend job you can see the giveaway in the photo: a wet patch spreading across the concrete under the pump. Once one of these starts weeping at the fitting it does not get better on its own, and running it wet is what kills the motor. Booster pumps count as pool pump repair too, and they tend to fail quietly.
Control Board Replacement - Loch N Green
On this Loch N Green pool the AquaLink control board was replaced, and the automation system is back online, running the pool, spa spillover and fountain as it should. When an automation system stops responding, the pumps, heater, lights and valves it controls can stop with it, so one failed part can shut down the whole backyard. Before replacing a control board, it is worth ruling out the simpler causes first: a tripped breaker, a blown fuse, loose or corroded wiring, or a failed transformer. If the board itself has failed, replacing just the board usually makes more sense than replacing the whole system. More on our pool automation page.
